Respect and credibility are just points!
Sometimes you say something and people take it at high value. Someone else says the same thing and it gets ignored. Why?
Because respect and credibility are like points. Everyone starts with a similar number — 50, 70, somewhere around there. And in our brains there’s a +/- system running quietly on small changes. Every tiny mistake, every tiny commitment missed, feeds this +/- system. Over the years, it sums up — or down.
So the same person might sit at 100 in one mind and 40 in another. Those numbers aren’t fixed — they’re a social construct, built from nano-micro changes.
And the way you move them up is by doing small things with visibility: show your extra tiny work.
That’s how points get collected, and credibility climbs.
